Nobody in their right mind would put their money in a bank they knew was never audited.

How is it that We The People entrust so much of our welfare to a government that has never been audited or even independently overseen?*

Note: This is not a small or simple matter; accordingly, you will find that there is a considerable amount of material here.

But it is important to understand the only way to effect ANY reform to our government is by amending the US Constitution. And in order for We The People to reform our government we must be able to do so without the involvement of Congress where significant reform is needed but not wanted. This website also proposes a solution to this problem.

*This rhetorical question was framed well before Elon Musk and his Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) team began their audit of the Federal government and exposed all manner of waste, fraud, and abuse. So, one may ask: Isn’t this good enough? And the answer is: Of course not. For one thing DOGE has a limited future and is scheduled to wrap up by July 4, 2026, and for another thing, even if there is ever a DOGE 2.0, it is a Trump thing and not officially part of the government regardless of who is President. Moreover, as you will see when you read further, the proposed Constitutional Council has a lot more functions than just being a super Inspector General.
